2027 INFINITI QX65 First Drive | INFINITI’s New Look Starts Here

It’s been no secret that INFINITI (and Nissan) have some work to do but where does one start? You could swing for the fences in hopes of a home run but that’s not where the smart money is at. That’s why the QX65 is the right vehicle for the moment; one that leverages the best-selling product in the portfolio while aiming to draw in new customers to the brand. Visually the QX65 is striking with a blend of muscular up front and very sharp styling out back. The red paint option (as seen in the video) is inspired by the Nissan GT-R but the performance is quite a ways from it, relying on the QX60’s 2.0l VC Turbo that puts out 268hp and the QX6r will come exclusively with AWD. There has been some powertrain work though in the way of tuning and INFINITI says the throttle will be more responsive, the shifts will happen faster and more aggressively, and that things like downshifting when slowing down have been dialed up for a peppier feel. The QX65 goes on sale shortly with a starting price of $55,535.
