I brought my dad’s 2025 Chevy Equinox EV LT2 and the all-new 2027 Chevy Bolt EV RS out for a quick coffee-run comparison — my first time driving the new Bolt. We compared comfort, features, cabin noise, space, charging, and overall impressions. The short version: the new Bolt feels like a modern, more refined take on the original Bolt, with plenty of tech and a fun personality, but it’s noticeably smaller and noisier than the Equinox. The Equinox, meanwhile, feels quieter, smoother, and more comfortable overall — and thanks to current incentives, it also ended up being significantly cheaper than the Bolt I tested.
