Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!
Heavy rains early this morning has tuned much or the Giga Texas construction sites into giant mud pits today, so work is slowly getting underway & later in the morning the sun started to come out so I hope it dries up quickly!

Just a few more weeks before the Austria Tesla Owners Group Takeover Europe Event, scheduled for 5-6 June in Flachau, Austria and I am very much looking forward to being there this year! Tickets are still available on their website as of today and I look forward to seeing some of you there!
In addition to all the work on the Optimus factory foundation on the far north, just to the east in the “lone tree” field, more clearing & top soil is being laid down to allow for relocating the last of the major recycling operations, pipe fabrication workshops, building materials, and other items from the east side Advanced Chip Fab construction site so that that area is cleared for more grade work.
As always, the site here is busy with changes & this is just a small part of the work underway … remember, everything people will be excited about in 2027 and 2028 is already underway here today at Giga Texas!
Hard to say for sure, but production of the $59K AWD Cybertruck may be just getting started here on this early and soggy morning at Giga Texas … this version is much harder to visually distinguish from the premium AWD versions, so I’ll come back on Wednesday, and we’ll see if this is in fact happening. I hope so as there are many new Cybertruck owners eager to get their truck!
Cybercab production is also proceeding slowly as Tesla told us it would be early on, but there are still dozens of new Cybercabs in the outbound lot today. I hope we start seeing more of these soon and perhaps introduction into the Robotaxi fleet soon. I (along with many others) want to give them a try!
