Cybercab Castings Recycled! N Cleanup, Cortex 2 Transformers! 12 Dec 2025 Giga Texas Update (7:35AM)

From Joe Tegtmeyer.

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!

Heavy fog around Giga Texas and the surrounding area caused a delayed in my drone flight today, but fortunately the skies cleared and we got to see some interesting new developments. One of which was, for the first time, I saw many castings had been moved to the east recycling yard … these were next to casting and the melt centers, where they could be melted down, but instead, these are moved to this location. Not sure what this might indicate, but worth watching!

I had one frustrating miss today as I saw a Cybercab driving to the EOL facility, but my drone was too far away. I tried to get the drone quickly over to the location the Cybercab was at, but by the time the drone got there, the Cybercab was inside the facility. I saw this from my launching point, but I just couldn’t get the images. Bummer!

In the video introduction, I decided to discuss a little more about the key Tesla Cybercab structural elements, specifically a short discussion of 3 castings observed around Giga Texas and being used for Cybercab production. This includes how the entire structure comes together to provide a remarkably strong body, much stronger than you might think based on the diminutive size of the Cybercab.

To help illustrate the Cybercab “unboxed” production process, I use extremely rare footage & images I was able to get in a recent drone flight of the completed rear assembly of the Cybercab! I hope you find this helpful!

For the main video, I look at the southwest staging area where we see the former white tent structure nearly completely disassembled … in fact only the reinforcement beams remain, and these were on the ground being prepared for removal.

We also see that more transformers have been delivered to the west staging area, starting the trend again of accumulating a lot of transformers that may be used for applications wither here at Giga Texas or off site like we have observed before.

At the very far north of the site, more work to reclaim the old sand and gravel mine hills and valleys along with soil test drilling was observed. In addition, work to remove all the old concrete cut out sections that were once used for mud control and to store materials are being broken up and removed. Tree debris that has also been stacked up in this part of the site for several years is also being picked up and transported off site. Is this for future construction or might it be for some other purpose? Unknown, but we will need to continue to watch this and see what happens next to know for sure.

The east clearing is getting some grade work today by a large bulldozer, while at the underground steel corrugated pipe manifold site, we see crews lining up more pipes and connections, preparing for when this is buried so River Road can go on top while ensuring proper site drainage.
