Geely’s exports just exploded 202% — and BYD hit a record too
Geely’s overseas sales hit a record 106,663 units in July, up 202.4% year-on-year, marking the second straight month exports topped 100,000 and helping total group sales reach 250,161 vehicles. BYD’s July sales surged 21.8% to 419,211 NEVs, driven by record exports, while domestic sales fell 9% amid a price war and subsidy changes, with international shipments hitting 179,841 vehicles, a 124.3% jump, and accounting for 43% of the monthly total for the first time.
