Mercedes has unveiled what could be its most important electric car yet.
The all-new Mercedes GLA Electric takes on some of the biggest names in the family SUV market, including the BMW iX1, Volvo EX40, Audi Q4 e-tron, Kia EV5 and Škoda Enyaq. But with up to 408 miles of WLTP range, 320kW ultra-rapid charging and a brand-new electric-first platform, has Mercedes just moved the game on?

The GLA may not be Mercedes’ biggest or flashiest EV, but it could be its most important. Family SUVs are one of the fastest-growing parts of the market, and on paper at least, the new GLA looks like a serious contender thanks to its long range, rapid charging and premium interior.
