On the road, it feels refined, quiet and comfortable, particularly at motorway speeds where the EV drivetrain and excellent cabin insulation make it a superb long-distance cruiser.
However, while the Peugeot e-408 drives nicely and feels composed, the added battery weight softens some of the sharper handling found in the mild-hybrid version. There are also questions around electric range, pricing and the lack of a long-range battery option.
