We drove my 2022 F‑150 Lightning Lariat (extended range, max tow) from Charlotte, NC up to mid‑coast Maine in about 2½ days — ~1,082 miles — and I filmed every charging stop, weird hotel hiccup, and weather flip. Spoiler: the Lightning’s charging improvements are real, but a few dumb human/infra issues made the trip memorable.

You’ll see the failed Oxford Supercharger (site expansion = dead V3 stalls), fast charging at IONNA/Wawa sites (full 500A ramps, 170–190 kW peaks), Cherry Hill IONNA, Mercedes HYC400 sites with liquid‑cooled cables, Rivian Adventure Network, a Tesla V3 supercharger, and a bunch of Whole Foods/BP/EVgo stops. I talk through the new DC pin temp update, how sport mode helps cool the pack, the 45°C thermal throttle, and why competition dropped prices (48¢ → 39¢/kWh at one site). Also: Marriott/Hilton apps won’t let you book after midnight, the hotel’s Tesla wall connector tripped its breaker, and I had to call Marriott support at 12:30 AM.
