Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!

A good way to start the week with no rain, a drying site & diffuse lighting from a cloudy sky, and I tried to take advantage of the conditions by doing a wide-ranging flight today. The four major construction projects all showed intense activity today while we also saw production for the week getting spun back up following the weekend.

The new Optimus 10M/yr production facility continues to see a lot of foundation preparations, GeoPier construction, rebar footing cages & footing concrete, with the GeoPiers inside the deep excavations for the 1st time.

These deep excavations with footings are likely for heavy equipment and/or assembly robot stations where precision foundations are required.

This site continues to make fast progress and at the rate they are creating footings, I am thinking we may start seeing vertical construction by June, but that remains to be seen.

At least 15 more glossy & deep gold Cybercabs at the Giga Texas outbound lot today, with more working their way over from the main factory.

These all appear to be equipped with the Steering wheel & pedal kits, so probably headed out to more locations around the country for testing … I’m sure we will see more images of these on the roads soon!

A lot more to see including close views of the Test Track and Cortex 2 cooling system & Megapack installation & assembly.
