From Out of Spec Podcast.
Walter got off the train, walked to his 2024 Chevy Equinox EV, and was hit with severe windshield glare – what he calls "reflectionitis." GM later issued a Technical Service Bulletin (25-NA-069, August 2025) with an OEM dash cover for 2024–2025 models (part 31 for non-HUD, part 32 for HUD), a fix already applied to 2026 vehicles, though about 87,000 earlier units remain on the road. In the video, Walter unboxes the part (purchased for $67.19), shows the minimal no-instructions packaging, and installs it using Velcro and double-sided tape with precise cutouts; the fit is easy and the glare disappears. He also explains why he avoided third-party mats that can block vents or speakers and notes that polarized Maui Jim sunglasses were his temporary workaround, while clarifying which parts to order for HUD and non-HUD models.
