May the 4th 2026 Giga Texas images! Cybercabs, N Campus expansion, Battery Cabinets at the 4680 Section & More!

It’s May the 4th today and I thought I’d celebrate with a nice drone flight around the factory, taking advantage of clear skies & moderate temperatures to see what has happened in the past 5 days following heavy rains and thunderstorms that came through late last week and part of the weekend.

Not only do we see progress at the four major construction sites today, but production was gearing back up for the work week with all three vehicles (Model Y, Cybertruck and Cybercab) production evident this morning!

Giga Texas construction continues on the far north, not only with Optimus factory foundation work, including footings, concrete & GeoPier construction, but also a new clearing to the east side in the “lone tree” field which may be used to relocate additional equipment and materials away from another construction site farther to the south and east of the east WOW yard for the Advanced Technology Chip Fab.

Cortex 2 continues to see progress both on the interior and exterior today. Deliveries of white-wrapped containers on the north end of the facility being moved inside, while we see part 2 of the chiller plant now fully assembled along with two round cutouts on the roof to accommodate fan housings, motor units and drive shafts. Part 1 of the cooling system shows 3, perhaps 4 fans in operation along with white water vapors rising upwards, another good sign of compute operations underway inside the facility.

On the far southwest corner, work on the test track continues with most of the trenching for the underground water management systems filled in, and new trenching that may be for conduit underway along with other smaller square excavations in several locations in the infield of the main oval road surface.

Cybercabs continue to be made at relatively small numbers this early Monday, with between 25 & 30 located around the site including the factory exit point & the outbound lot. We have been seeing many of these being transported away from the factory over the past week, with lots of images of them on roads, supercharging & even shopping in the surrounding area. I think this is a good sign that these are helping to prepare for Cybercab entry into the Robotaxi fleet soon

A lot more to see in the images today! Thanks for your continued support and for coming along with me on this nearly 6-year adventure!
