From EV Review Ireland.
Welcome back to the channel! Today we are in the Netherlands for a very special first drive of the Volkswagen ID.Cross—the all-electric counterpart to the popular T-Cross. While the car is still under a bit of camouflage, we’re joined by Tim from VW Product Marketing to explore what this new entry-level electric SUV brings to the table. We’ll be looking at the increased wheelbase, the improved interior tech, and putting the new "MEB Plus" platform to the test on the open road. If you haven’t already subscribed to the channel, please do so, hit the like button, and let me know in the comments: is the ID.Cross the electric SUV you’ve been waiting for? Let’s get started!

Features

Next-Gen Safety Tech: Debuts the newest version of Travel Assist, which now includes traffic light recognition, allowing the car to automatically stop at red lights and restart when they turn green [17:21], [18:53].
Substantial Practicality: Offers a class-leading 475-litre boot—even larger than the ID.Polo—plus a 20-litre frunk for charging cables and a towing capacity of up to 1,200 kg [10:17], [10:39], [11:02].
Efficient Battery Options: Available with a 52 kWh net battery providing over 430 km of range, with a 10-80% charging time of less than 24 minutes thanks to a constant charging curve [02:53], [14:58].
Luxury in a Small Package: Unusually for this segment, the ID.Cross offers massaging seats for both the driver and front passenger, alongside a 13-inch infotainment screen and optional Harman Kardon audio [08:16], [13:38], [
