Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot!
Perfect day to fly with light winds, blue skies, moderate temperatures and plenty of new activity! In the video introduction I provide some highlights, but I also talk about my upcoming schedule as I am planning on heading to Starbase to cover Flight 12 of Starship, which as of now is planned for NET 19 May 2026.
On my way down, I am planning on stopping at the Tesla Lithium Plant to get in an updated flight and see what has changed over the past 7 months.
Progress at all 4 major construction sites today, including the east Advanced Chip Fab site with more relocation of workshops, materials and vehicles, soil sample drill rigs at work & more.

The north Optimus factory foundation continues to make progress too, especially with the site drying up. GeoPiers, Rebar cages, pedestal footings & three levels of grade evident today.
Cortex 2 prep for more Megapacks today, with transformer installation nearing completion & part 2 of the cooling system coming together.
The new test track is getting more asphalt laid down in several different locations & some infield grade work too. There are vehicles on some of the paved driving surfaces to give a better sense of scale and width of the road surfaces!
Over 70 Cybercabs in the Giga Texas outbound lot today in three major areas & driving around! I think this is now the largest single gathering of Cybercabs I’ve observed!
I’m also trying to gauge if the $59K Cybertruck production is underway & although there are more in the outbound lot in several different locations, it is hard to tell.
Honestly, I would like to see a lot more coming out of the factory if we will begin seeing deliveries beginning next month, if that is still the plan, but for now the production rate still seems a bit modest. I know they are working hard to ramp up at the same time they are also trying to ramp up Cybercab production.
