The Geely Boyue REV starts at $17,000, with the fully specced car coming in under $21,000 USD. For that money you get a coupe SUV body, an extended range electric powertrain, soft-touch materials throughout the cabin, and up to 280km of electric range. That is either an incredible deal or too good to be true. I drove it to find out.

Under the hood, the Boyue REV pairs a 1.5L naturally aspirated generator with a 160kW front electric motor producing 327Nm of torque. You get two battery options: the 28.3kWh pack gives you 156km of electric range and a 0-100 time of 7.4 seconds, while the larger 50.4kWh version stretches that to 280km of range with a 0-100 of 8.4 seconds.
