China just showed the world its latest sodium battery, and it might be the most important energy story nobody in the West is talking about.
We headed to SNEC Shanghai, one of the biggest energy expos on the planet, and REPT BATTERO came with a lineup designed to make lithium batteries think twice. Their new Sodium 320 -amp-hour cell uses sodium instead of lithium, which means safer chemistry, lower cost, and a material that is found all over the world. They also brought a 648-amp-hour cell and an 85-amp-hour cell which is designed for AIDC scenarios. REPT BATTERO also launched its Digital Battery Passport pilot, with data verified in partnership with TÜV Rheinland and the platform built on Circulor, meeting EU Battery Regulation standards.
